Case study
Challenge. Response. Result.
Challenge
Traditional adjustable pliers require repeated movements and force, creating discomfort and inefficiency.
Design response
A locking-wheel mechanism inspired by utility knives that simplifies size adjustment into one controlled movement.
Result
The redesign translates the locking-wheel idea into a developed tool concept supported by mechanical analysis, CAD, and technical drawings.
